Brighton Girls School
Brighton Girls School External Renovation & Landscaping Works
Brighton Girls School
Client: Girls' Day School Trust (GDST)
The Brief
As part of our ongoing partnership assisting GDST with scheduled school upgrades, we were appointed to carry out extensive exterior works to the rear of the Grace Eyre building at Brighton Girls school.
The project required a tight operational window to ensure we were fully completed before the start of the new academic term, eliminating any disruption to students and daily learning.
Our Approach
-
Landscaping, Structural & Retaining Works
Demolished the existing exterior wall, excavated the area, and laid a new paved patio area. Constructed a timber railway sleeper retaining wall and installed new metal safety railings to replace the removed wall. Carried out final landscaping works to leave the surrounding grounds clean, secure, and ready for school use.
-
Fabric Repairs & Redecoration
Removal of the damaged wall on 1st floor exterior and replace with a railing. This works included the repair and painting of the emergency escape staircases, repointing and cleaning of existing brickwork, and decoration of the rear façade.
What We Delivered
A revived, functional, and secure outdoor area completed strictly within the school holiday deadline, ensuring zero disruption to the incoming term.
